Alnmouth Valley Station - Class 1 2018

We have been learning about different types of trains so we went to visit Alnmouth Valley Station. We learnt about how the old carriages are being repaired as they had been damaged by animals. We got to experience a ride on a steam train and learnt about the different elements of a station.

When we got back to school we decided to create our own Belford Station. The children created tracks using large planks of wood. They made red and green flags and used cars as carriages. They enjoyed using the new language that they learnt and applied this to their play.

They also made a train ticket office and a large carriage.
