Class 1 Visit to the Police Station Oct 2017

We have been learning about friendships and the importance of keeping ourselves safe.

Today we went to the Police Station to learn about how they help to keep us safe and what we can do to keep ourselves safe.

We know why they wear their uniform and how they use their handcuffs, radios, batons and CS gas. We went in to the camera room so that we could see why the town has cameras and how the police use them.

We then walked around the cells and got to try on some uniforms.

We saw how the police take fingerprints and know why they have to take photographs of their 'clients'.

We also talked about Stranger Danger and how to cross the roads safely.

Finally, we enjoyed exploring the police riot van!
