Parliament Week 2019

The children have been learning about Parliament and how Parliament works. The looked into the houses of Commons and the Houses of Lords. During the afternoon Classes 3 and 4 took part in a debating session, they split into 4 groups and decided whether they were for or against the motions. The two motions they chose were ' It is cruel to keep animals in zoos' and 'Technology stops children making friends'
The children enjoyed taking part and had some very good points to make. At the end of the debate we held a vote to see which side had been the most persuasive.
