Safeguarding Children

The safety and welfare of the pupils in our care is of paramount importance to the staff at Belford Primary School.

Parents and carers should be aware that the school has a duty to take reasonable action to ensure the welfare and safety of its pupils. In cases where school staff have cause to be concerned that a pupil may be subject to ill treatment, neglect or other form of abuse, staff will follow the Northumberland Child Protection Procedures. Social Services will be informed of their concerns.

Staff at Belford Primary School have also been trainned to recognising signs of radicalisation and extreemism. Procedures and systems are in place to report any concerns to the Local Authority.
